Credebt’s portal had recently undergone a design and tech-stack overhaul with a view to achieve better performance and user experience. Patrick Reynolds, the mind behind Credebt financial services was looking for a tech partner who can take care of the frontend development for Credebt’s customer facing portals in a way that is sustainable and scalable for future scope of the website. KIS, with its strong FED tech stack and a solid understanding of the financial services industry, delivered what Patrick had in mind.
Credbebt was created to save business owners and managers from the frustration caused by the intricacies of bank loans. Understanding the need for working capital, Credebt crafted an intelligent way to finance business—”an alternative source of capital that avoids the risks and barriers of traditional bank loans.” Credebt uses a purchasing model with multiple financial products instead of using a lending model, thus giving its clients greater control and flexibility in raising capital.
During our initial conversation with Patrick, we learned that Credebt’s existing customer-facing portals had been redesigned and for a brand new tech stack that backed these postals. As the conversation proceeded, our objectives were charted out clearly as the following:
Though our requirements were laid off clearly during the initial meetings with Patrick, in the course of the following sprints, we did tackle a few challenges to arrive at the promised result.
Since no documentation about the website and portals existed before we took up the frontend development projects, getting as much and as relevant information as possible was the due diligence we needed to do. We set up calls with the client every day, in addition to our daily standups, to discuss the tasks and the delivery framework.
Apart from basing our frontend development on user experience best practices, we also chose to go with MVVM coding. The Model-View-ViewModel architecture gave us the advantage of code reusability as parallel development, something we needed the most to keep the development sustainable and scalable.
The lack of pre-existing documentation remained our primary challenge but it also gave rise to a new dreaded challenge—the scope creep. We had to deal with ad-hoc requests more than we had accounted for. However, with meticulous resource allocation and time management at our team’s end, we were able to keep up with the scope creep.
